How it started
The whole world stayed home. Then the world moved on.
In 2020 almost everyone was told to stay where they were. For a while we all knew the feeling: the same four walls, the same window, the longing for a street that wasn't ours.
Then travel came back. Planes filled. Feeds filled with faraway places. And for most people, life opened up again.
But not for everyone. Some people were still at home, not for a season, but for good reasons of their own. Their world had not reopened, and it felt like almost nobody was building anything for them.
That is why we built Peekabl. Not to replace travel, but so that no one is shut out of the world: so you can still explore it through someone else's eyes, still be welcomed, and still feel part of something.
Peekabl is a live travel streaming platform. Local hosts walk real streets in real time while you watch, chat and ask questions from anywhere. It exists so that people who can no longer travel can still explore the world, connect with others and belong.
