Payment & Refund Policy

1. How We Accept Payment

All payments on Peekabl are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment service provider. Peekabl does not store, handle, or have access to your full card details at any point. All card data is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with PCI DSS Level 1 standards.

By making a purchase on Peekabl, you:

  • Confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided
  • Authorise Peekabl to instruct Stripe to charge that payment method for the amount shown at checkout
  • Agree to Stripe's terms & conditions, which govern the payment processing relationship

Supported payment methods are determined by Stripe and may vary by region. Current options are displayed at checkout. Peekabl reserves the right to add or remove accepted payment methods at any time.

Payment availability note: In certain regions, Stripe is legally restricted from processing transactions due to international financial sanctions or regulatory requirements outside of Peekabl's control. If you are unable to complete a payment, this is a Stripe-level restriction, not a Peekabl decision. Contact [email protected] and we will do our best to help.

2. Subscriptions

2.1 How Subscriptions Work

Peekabl offers subscription plans that provide access to the platform and a defined number of experience credits per billing period. The available plans, their prices, and what each plan includes are displayed at the point of sign-up and on your account dashboard.

Peekabl may introduce, modify, or retire subscription plans at any time. Any changes affecting your active plan will be communicated to you with at least 30 days' notice before taking effect, in accordance with Section 6 of this Policy.

2.2 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select
  • Your billing date is set on the day you first subscribe and recurs on that date each period
  • If your billing date falls on a day that does not exist in a given month (e.g. 31st in a 30-day month), billing occurs on the last day of that month
  • Payment is charged automatically at the start of each new billing period
  • You will receive a receipt by email following each successful charge

2.3 Free Trial

Where a free trial is offered at sign-up, the trial period and its terms will be clearly stated before you subscribe. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and billing will begin unless you cancel before the trial expires.

Important: You must cancel before your trial ends to avoid being charged. We will send you a reminder before your trial expires. Cancellation instructions are in Section 4.1.

2.4 Credits/Stamps

Credits/Stamps are the unit of exchange used to access live sessions on Peekabl. The following rules apply to all Credits/Stamps, whether included in a subscription plan or purchased separately:

  • Credits/Stamps expire at the end of the billing period in which they were issued and do not roll over to the next period
  • Credits/Stamps have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash under any circumstances
  • Credits/Stamps cannot be transferred to another account or gifted to another user
  • Credits/Stamps cannot be sold, auctioned, or exchanged outside the Platform
  • Where a paid experience is cancelled by a host, affected users will receive a Credits/Stamps refund as described in Section 5.3
  • Expired Credits/Stamps will not be reinstated except at Peekabl's sole discretion in exceptional circumstances

Credits/Stamps are designed to be used within the billing period. If you consistently find that you have unused Credits/Stamps at the end of each period, consider whether your current plan matches your usage. You can review available plans in your account dashboard.

3. Pay-Per-View Purchases

3.1 How Pay-Per-View Works

Certain experiences on Peekabl are available for individual purchase on a pay-per-view basis, without requiring a subscription. Pay-per-view purchases grant you access to a specific scheduled session or experience.

The price of each pay-per-view experience is set by the host within the pricing tier they have selected, and is displayed clearly before you complete your purchase. Prices shown are exclusive of VAT. Applicable VAT will be calculated and added at checkout based on your country of residence.

3.2 Access and Delivery

Upon completing a pay-per-view purchase:

  • Your access to the experience is confirmed immediately
  • You will be able to join the session at the scheduled time through your account
  • Access is personal to your account and cannot be shared or transferred
  • Pay-per-view purchases do not carry over — if you miss a session, access to that specific session expires

3.3 Pay-Per-View Refund Rules

Pay-per-view purchases are non-refundable once the experience has been accessed or the scheduled session time has passed, except in the circumstances described in Section 5 of this Policy.

If you purchase a pay-per-view experience and the session is subsequently cancelled by the host, you will receive a full credit refund in accordance with Section 5.3.

4. Cancellation

4.1 Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. There are no cancellation fees and no minimum subscription period.

When you cancel:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period — you will not lose access immediately
  • You will not be charged for the next billing period
  • Any unused Credits/Stamps remaining at the time of cancellation will expire at the end of the current billing period and will not be refunded
  • Your account data is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy

To cancel: go to Account Settings > Subscription > Cancel Subscription. You can cancel at any time, including during a free trial. If you have difficulty cancelling, contact [email protected] and we will process it for you within 1 business day.

4.2 Cancelling a Pay-Per-View Purchase

Once a pay-per-view purchase has been completed, it cannot be cancelled by the user except where the EU statutory right of withdrawal applies as described in Section 5.1.

5. Refunds

EU consumer law gives you real rights around refunds. We take these seriously and have designed our refund policy to comply fully with the Consumer Rights Directive and applicable Bulgarian consumer protection law. We do not hide behind small print.

5.1 EU Statutory Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer based in the EU or EEA, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase contract within 14 days without giving a reason (the "cooling-off period").

However, EU law provides that the right of withdrawal is lost for digital content and services once performance has begun, where you have given your explicit prior consent to this and acknowledged the consequence.

For subscriptions: when you sign up and request immediate access to the Platform, you will be shown a clear consent confirmation stating that performance begins immediately and that the 14-day withdrawal right is waived from that moment. If you do not provide this consent, your subscription access will not begin until the 14-day period has expired.

For pay-per-view purchases: when you complete a purchase and access or join the experience, you consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost upon access.

Your right of withdrawal is real. If you have subscribed and have not yet used any platform features, and you are within the 14-day cooling-off period, you may be entitled to a full refund. Contact [email protected] within 14 days of your subscription start date to request a withdrawal refund and we will assess your eligibility.

5.2 Refunds for Technical Failures

If a paid experience fails to take place due to a verified technical failure on the Peekabl platform — meaning a failure of our streaming infrastructure, payment processing, or platform technology — you are entitled to your choice of:

  • Credits/Stamps equivalent to the full value of the experience, applied to your account within 3 business days, or
  • A full monetary refund to your original payment method, processed within 14 business days

To claim a refund for a technical failure:

  • Submit your request to [email protected] within 7 days of the scheduled experience
  • Include your account email, the name or date of the experience, and a description of what went wrong
  • We will investigate and respond within 5 business days

Technical failures on the host's side — such as the host's own internet connection, device failure, or local power outage — are not Peekabl platform failures. These are handled under Section 5.3 (host cancellations) rather than this section.

5.3 Host Cancellations

If a verified host cancels a scheduled experience with fewer than 24 hours' notice, all affected users who had purchased access to that session will receive a full credit refund automatically. The credit will be applied to your account within 24 hours of the cancellation being confirmed.

If a host fails to appear for a scheduled session without cancelling in advance, Peekabl will treat this as a host cancellation and process Credits/Stamps accordingly once the absence is confirmed — typically within 24 hours of the scheduled session time.

Credits/Stamps issued for host cancellations do not expire within 30 days of being issued, giving you time to use them. After 30 days, standard Credits/Stamps expiry rules apply.

5.4 Non-Refundable Situations

Except as required by law or as described in Sections 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3 above, the following situations are not eligible for a refund:

  • Subscription charges where you have used the Platform during the billing period
  • Pay-per-view purchases where the experience was delivered as scheduled and you accessed it
  • Pay-per-view purchases where the experience was delivered as scheduled and you did not attend
  • Credits/Stamps that have expired
  • Purchases made on accounts that have been terminated for violation of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
  • Dissatisfaction with the quality, content, or style of an experience that was otherwise delivered as described

Note on quality: Peekabl is a marketplace platform. Hosts are independent creators and the content of their experiences reflects their individual skill, knowledge, and circumstances. We do not guarantee a specific quality level beyond what is described in the host's listing. If an experience was materially different from how it was described, contact [email protected] and we will review the case individually.

5.5 Requesting a Refund

To request any refund that you believe you are entitled to:

  • Email [email protected] with the subject line: Refund Request
  • Include your account email address, the date of purchase, the experience name or order reference, and the reason for your request
  • We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days
  • Approved monetary refunds are processed within 14 business days of approval and returned to your original payment method

We will never charge a fee for submitting a refund request.

6. Pricing Changes

Peekabl reserves the right to change the pricing of subscription plans and pay-per-view experiences at any time.

For subscription users: any increase to the price of your active subscription plan will take effect at the start of your next billing period. We will notify you by email and in-Platform notification at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree with the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the new price applies.

For pay-per-view: prices may change at any time and are set by hosts within Peekabl's tier structure. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay — there are no hidden charges.

Price changes to active subscriptions always come with 30 days' notice. You will never be charged a new price without prior notification and an opportunity to cancel.

7. Taxes and VAT

All prices displayed on Peekabl are exclusive of VAT and any other applicable taxes. VAT is calculated and added at checkout based on your country of residence, in accordance with EU digital services rules. The total amount charged to you — including any applicable VAT — will be clearly shown before you confirm your purchase.

Users outside the EU may be subject to local taxes, import duties, or other charges imposed by their country. These are the responsibility of the user and are not collected by Peekabl.

Hosts are responsible for their own tax obligations in their country of residence or operation. Peekabl does not withhold tax on behalf of hosts unless required to do so by mandatory applicable law. VAT invoices are available upon request from [email protected].

8. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly and a chargeback is rarely necessary.

Chargebacks initiated without first contacting Peekabl, or chargebacks that are found to be without valid basis, may result in:

  • Suspension of your account pending investigation
  • Recovery of the disputed amount if the chargeback is found to be unjustified
  • Permanent termination of your account in cases of repeated or fraudulent chargeback behaviour

We cooperate fully with card issuers and Stripe in all dispute resolution processes and will provide evidence of transactions and service delivery where required.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Payment & Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, our pricing structure, or our payment processes. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Post the updated Policy on the Platform with a revised effective date
  • Notify you by email or in-Platform notification at least 30 days before changes take effect where they affect your rights

Continued use of the Platform after an updated Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms, except where applicable law requires fresh consent.
